RYADH (Bureau Report):- Saudi authorities sentenced 6 Pakistanis on chanting political slogans against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation in Masjid-e-Nabvi on April 2022.
According to diplomatic sources, 3 Pakistanis have been sentenced to 10 years each in prison while 3 have been sentenced for each 8 years in prison.
Sources also say that the Madinah court imposed a fine of 20,000 Saudi Riyals on these people and confiscated their mobile phones.
It should be noted that the incident of chanting political slogans in the Masjid-e-Nabvi during the visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and his delegation in April 2022.
Sources told that Pakistani citizens Anas, Irshad and Mohammad Salim sentenced for ten years, while Khawaja Luqman, Mohammad Afzal and Ghulam Mohammad sentenced for eight years.
It is important to mentioned here that video clips circulated on social media showed the crowd chasing the federal ministers and shouting slogans that were unethical and immoral in Masjid-e-Nabvi.
