ISLAMABAD (our reporter):- The federal cabinet has decided to take action under the Political Order 2002 against the leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) on the issue of prohibited funding.
A federal cabinet meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in which the future course of action was discussed in the light of the decision of the PTI prohibited funding case.
In a media briefing after the meeting, Federal Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb said that the cabinet has decided to take action against the PTI leadership under the Political Party Order 2002 on the issue of prohibited funding.
Maryam Aurangzeb said that action has been taken against the PTI leadership under Article 2, 6, 15 and 17 of the Political Party Order 2002, Tehreek-e-Insaf has been declared as a party receiving foreign aid, a declaration will be prepared and sent to the Supreme Court soon. .
Federal Minister of Information said that FIA will investigate the foreign funding case. According to the sources, in the meeting, the federal cabinet did not approve the name of Imran Khan and other leaders on the ECL.
Sources say that the law minister and the government legal team briefed the cabinet on the Election Commission’s decision. According to the sources, during this time, all the bureaucrats except the law secretary and the interior secretary were sent out of the meeting on the instructions of the prime minister.
