ISLAMABAD: The Federal Cabinet meeting under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is going on in which the future course of action is being discussed in the light of the decision of the PTI prohibited funding case.

According to sources, a decision is likely to be taken in the cabinet meeting to approach the Supreme Court for Imran Khan’s disqualification,

The cabinet is likely to approve to put the names of PTI leaders including Imran Khan, in the Exit Control List.

Sources say that the Law Minister and the government legal team are briefing the Cabinet on the Election Commission’s decision.

According to the sources, all the bureaucrats except the Law Secretary and the Home Secretary were sent out of the meeting on the instructions of the Prime Minister.

On the other hand, the 8-point agenda of the federal cabinet has also been issued, according to which the establishment of the National University will be approved in today’s meeting, the CEO of Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited will also be approved.

In the meeting, the approval of the framework agreement between Pakistan and Denmark is also included in the cabinet agenda, a summary of the international support for recovery after the flood disasters will also be presented, and a summary of the reduction of prison sentences will also be presented on the occasion of Independence Day.

Apart from this, a briefing will be given regarding the commencement of work on development schemes.
