ISLAMABAD (Eshfak Mughal):- The Federal Board of Revenue has discontinued Performance Allowance of an officer who has harassed a female during official duty at the Regional Tax Officer, Quetta.

A complained was lodged under the Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act 2010 by a female official against Anwar Ali Khamisani. Khaisani was an officer of BS 17 and posted at RTO Quetta.

According to the FBR, the competent authority has constituted an inquiry committee to investigate the complaint against the officer. The officers was found guilty during the investigation and the committee recommended to impose minor penalty under Section 4(4) of the Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workplace Act, 2010.

The FBR’s Member (Admn/HR)/ competent authority has imposed minor penalty of “Censure” upon Anwar Ali Khamisani, Administrative Officer of BS 17 posted in RTO Quetta under the Protection against Harassment of Women at the Workshop Act 2010 with immediate effect.

It is important to mention here that the performance allowance is almost equal of basic pay of employees of all cadres of FBR.

The performance allowance, if drawn by the officer, shall remain discontinued in accordance with Para 7 (II) of the Guidelines for Performance Allowance-2015.
