ISLAMABAD (our reporter):- Speaker Punjab Assembly and leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Q Pervaiz Elahi has claimed that all PTI led Government allies have now tilted towards joint opposition after submitting no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The statement comes just hours after PM Imran Khan said the entire nation was ready to go down with him rather than supporting the “three stooges”, as he slammed the Opposition amid rising political tensions.
While talking in a tv interview, Elahi said that cent percent government allies have inclined towards joint opposition instead of PTI Government. He said that the time has been over for Prime Minister to send delegations for convincing his allies. If he done this earlier than he could avoid the current situation.
He said that Prime Minister is in difficult situation right now and it is the duty of Prime Minister to reverse the inclination of allies towards opposition.
He openly criticized the PTI and said that “many surprises are yet to come.” His criticism and a few sentences are very important in the current political situation. “They (PTI) do not even know who is with them and who is not”, he further added
On a query about the establishment, he said, it is keeping itself out and whatever comes is acceptable to them at the time.
Pervez Elahi also claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan himself offered the coalition parties PML-Q and Balochistan Awami Party to merge with the PTI, which was rejected by the PML-Q.
Four days ago, Prime Minister asked Mons to join PTI. We refused. He also gave same offer to Balochistan Awami Party. This is their ignorance, he said.
On a query, Pervaiz Elahi admitted that his party wants CMship in Punjab. “We were told by the two parties that the issue of Chief Ministersip will be look into after the conclusion of no-confidence motion against Prime Minister, but Shujaat said no, it should be done first. He said that PTI is silent and it didnt gave CHship offer. “We had said give the chief Ministership in Punjab, then we will vote for you too. If the Chief Minister comes to us, we will make up for the shortcomings of the allies, Elahi said.
Despite the criticism on the government, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that his party has not yet made a final decision. “We cannot make a decision alone, we will make the final decision together with the other allies,” he said.
“We will place all the issues before the allies. The party cannot decide alone. PPP, MQM and BAP are with us.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahicriticized the PTI and Prime Minister Imran Khan and targeted the performance contrary to the government’s claims.
When asked what happened that made things worse, he said that threats are coming from them in response of our loyalty. The NAB was told to arrest Moonis Elahi, Federal Minister and his son.
On a query Government is saying the opposition movement was part of international conspiracy against Prime Minister, he denied such impression and said that it was only the incompetency of the PTI and nothing more.
Khan has done his best for three and a half years, he did not show any performance. There is inflation, people have not got jobs, will everyone be given jobs in Ehsas program, what happens with health card, fix the hospitals first.
He said that the alliance between the opposition parties PPP, PML-N and JUI was taking a long time because “when all come together against one person, bitterness is good”.
The speaker termed the alliance of the three Opposition major parties including JUI-F, PML-N, and PPP as lasting and stable, just weeks before a session to vote on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan is called.
Elahi claimed for such situation on the time when PTI Government could only get support from its ally Grand Democratic Alliance. Pakistan Muslim League-Q, Balochistan Awami Party and MQM didnot extends support to Prime Minister in the no-confidence motion.
The woes of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s PTI also increased when its main ally party in center, KP and Balochistan government has also wanted to end the alliance. The KP chapter of BAP has announce to end its alliance with PTI in KP Assembly. The BAP has four seats in KP provincial Assembly. This announcement made by Parliamentary Leader Bilawal Afridi.
